October 2021

Fishers of Men Meeting is this Thursday beginning at 7:00 in the Gym at Lutheran Church of the Master located at 1200-69th Ave N in Brooklyn Center. We have a big meeting planned so please make every effort to attend.

Our guest speaker this month is Charlie "Turk" Gierke who is a professional fishing guide on the Mississippi and St Croix Rivers. He is very familiar with the rivers from Stillwater to Red Wing and all points in between.

Turk loves teaching clients about fishing the river and after spending time on the river with him you will be able to go home and enjoy a wonderful fresh fish dinner.

We will also be talking about our Fall Outing to Spicer Minnesota.

Fishers of Men Fall Outing

I love September and October. The leaves are changing from green to bright reds and orange. I also love the sound of the geese flocking up as they are heading south and of course the days and nights are getting cooler.

I also love this time of the year because it means the Fishers of Men Fall Outing is about to happen.

This year was not disappointing.

It was so enjoyable to spend time with Michael from Sarasota Florida, all you guys and of course the guys from Teen Challenge. We had excellent devotions with Philippians 4:8 as our key verse. Thank you Greg for leading morning and evening time together.

Fishing was fun and for some harder then others. With the wind blowing from every direction depending on the time of day made it hard to get on Green Lake. Many of us went and fished the lakes around the camp. I personally fished Florida Lake, it was small enough that the wind didn't make a difference.

Congratulations to Doug for taking this years "Fally Wally" with 153.5" (Dave Lindmark 144", Myself 139" Tim Jewell 131" and Dad with 94")
